Barchi di Migranti 40 x 40cm

Barchi di Migranti: is from a series of photos of burnt out migrant boats in Sicilly, a traumatic and sometimes unwanted arrival of others. At first glance there appears to be people walking across the desert, yet it is a Sunday morning on a Dorset beach.

Arriving and Degrading 40 x 40 cm

Arriving and Degrading: loosely follows a theme of human activity in the South West of England. Within this piece are images of Napoleonic fort iron door, the lost mining industry, the reduced fishing industry and reduced fish stocks, often replaced by shoals of tourists.

Time and Tide Tarry for None 40x40 cm

Time and Tide Tarry for None: is the overarching theme that any arrivals can only be measured in time, which is considered to flow like a river. In days when much travel and trade was around our coast, arrival times were constrained by the tides.

This series of three represents the progression of autumnal decay, with each one focusing upon how we might observe the progressive changes during autumn. This second image focuses upon the fleeting bounty of the harvest that will decay so quickly
